Mazda North American Operations and Skip Barber Racing School LLC announced a new, long-term partnership agreement that promises to reshape the world of competitive motorsports. Mazda will supply vehicles to Skip Barber for exclusive use in the "Skip Barber Driving School Powered by Mazda." The school annually graduates over 7,000 students and will feature the MAZDA 3 , MX-5 and RX-8 cars in a variety of purpose-built exercises at Skip Barber's premier base locations, including Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in California, Sebring International Raceway and Daytona International Speedway in Florida, Road America in Wisconsin, and Lime Rock Park in Connecticut.
Rotorheads unite! Once again, rotary-enthusiasts from all over the world gathered at Mazda Headquarters for the much-awaited 12th annual SevenStock. What started as a local BBQ among a local Southern California enthusiast club has now become a fun-filled weekend of exciting events - proving that SevenStock truly is the Mecca of all things rotary.
The theme was Motor Sports 2025 and each entrant was asked to submit two-dimensional renderings and concept descriptions that interpreted where they thought auto racing would be 17 years in the future. Mazda’s entry, the electric-powered Mazda Kaan race car, took home the top award beating out entries from Audi, BMW, GM, Honda, Toyota, Volkswagen, Mitsubishi and Mercedes-Benz.
