Mazda Kabura
Winner of the Detroit Institute of Ophthalmology's prestigious EyesOn Design Award for Aesthetics and Innovation at the North American International Auto Show

A sleek, sophisticated, and spacious RWD sports coupe, the Kabura concept is as innovative on the outside as it is on the inside. Designed in California, its funneled, raked-back design and smoothly flared wheel wells make the light weight Kabura seem to be in perpetual motion. Powered by a 2.0-liter four and six-speed manual transmission, the Kabura takes after the MX-5 when it comes to performance. Its unique 3+1 staggered seating arrangement means more comfort for the passengers without adding to the car’s size. And all of the passenger seats can fold flat, giving lots of cargo flexibility, with rear-hinged “lifestyle-doors” and a two-piece glass hatch that allows better access to the back. Also of note is the role sustainability plays in the Kabura’s overall design. For instance, its seating is made of 100-perfect recycled leather substrate. Much like the howling arrow from which it takes its name, the Kabura is a symbol of our pursuit of remarkable and pragmatic automotive advancements.
