The 2010 MAZDASPEED3 carries forward the 2.3L Direct-Injection Spark Ignition (DISI) turbocharged engine with 263 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. Airflow to the intercooler has been moved from the grille to a large hood-mounted scoop that takes in cooler air to help improve airflow through the intercooler.

MAZDASPEED engineers took handling up a notch for 2010 with a stronger body structure, firmer MAZDASPEED-tuned suspension components and wider, 18-inch alloy wheels.

Larger rotors and front calipers supply plenty of feedback through the aluminum-alloy pedal, while standard 4-wheel anti-lock brakes (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist help bring things to a controlled stop.
