How to Use the Parking Brake

Applying the Parking Brake

  1. Depress the brake pedal.

  2. The parking brake is applied.

 

For parking in snow, refer to Winter Driving (Search) regarding parking brake use.

Releasing the Parking Brake

  1. Depress the brake pedal.

  2. Pull the lever up slightly and press the button.

  3. Lower the lever with the button pressed.

    The parking brake is released.
