J.C. Lewis Mazda forges 3-year partnership with Extra Special People, Inc.

Mazda believes everyone deserves to find joy and genuine purpose in life. This philosophy comes to life through impactful partnerships like the one between J.C. Lewis Mazda and Extra Special People, Inc. (ESP). Together, they are enabling meaningful connections and helping individuals with disabilities thrive, fostering more inclusive communities in the process.

The purpose of ESP is to help create transformative experiences and a world where every person, regardless of ability, has universal access to opportunities to engage, connect, and thrive. This mission deeply resonated with J.C. Lewis Mazda, as several employees have loved ones with disabilities. Inspired by this personal connection, the dealership forged a three-year partnership, embodying the Mazda human-centric commitment to authentically support the communities it serves.

In October, J.C. Lewis Mazda proudly introduced the Savannah community to ESP at a heartwarming Java Joy event hosted at the dealership. The star of the show was a mobile coffee cart, pulled by a custom-wrapped CX-90 – generously donated by the dealership – and staffed by enthusiastic joyristas. These talented, differently-abled adults served up coffee, hugs, and happiness; showcasing the program's powerful dual impact.

Java Joy not only provides meaningful employment and a vital support system for its joyristas and their families, but it also actively combats misconceptions about disabilities. By creating positive, face-to-face interactions, Java Joy helps local communities experience and connect with individuals of all abilities. It proves that a shared cup of coffee can bridge understanding and make a profound difference, one joyful interaction at a time.

This partnership is a prime example of the Mazda Be Moved community engagement program in action. It powerfully demonstrates their dedication to uplifting the communities it serves, celebrating inspiring individuals, and helping create a better world by empowering communities to thrive.
