Interior/cargo: The new CX-5 offers increased rear leg, knee and headroom, and has a notably larger rear cargo space.
Technology: The All-New CX-5 features an available 15.6-inch integrated center touchscreen display—the largest ever offered on a Mazda vehicle. It comes with Google built-in, complimentary for 1 year with your Mazda Connected Services trial, and enhanced connectivity features. The redesigned cabin minimizes physical buttons and knobs, offering greater flexibility and a seamless user experience. Manage features through touchscreen functionality, steering wheel-mounted buttons, and familiar hands-free control with Google Assistant- with Google Gemini coming in a future update.23

The 2026 CX-5 will launch with Mazda’s Skyactiv®-G 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine, which produces 187 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 6‑speed automatic transmission and standard i-Activ AWD®.
The new Mazda CX-5 has an EPA-estimated fuel economy rating of 24 MPG city, 30 MPG highway and 26 MPG combined.

All Mazda crossover SUVs, including CX-5, feature i-Activ All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) as standard. i-Activ AWD® provides functionality beyond that of a typical 4WD or AWD system. Unlike basic AWD systems that react to a spinning wheel, i-Activ AWD® is always engaged and proactively monitors vehicle dynamics data in real time to watch for variations in wheel loads that a driver may not notice. The system then automatically controls the distribution of torque to provide predictable handling when driving on unpaved roads or in difficult conditions.24

The Mazda CX-5 can seat up to five people, with seats that are shaped for a comfortable and relaxed posture. The Mazda CX-5 can accommodate car seats in any of the rear seat positions.
The new CX‑5 includes an enhanced suite of i-Activsense® Advanced Driver Assistance System features. For the first time ever on the new CX-5, Mazda will be offering features such as Rear Automatic Emergency Braking, Rear Cross Traffic Braking, and Forward Turn-Across Traffic Braking as standard.25

Also, for the first time ever, the new CX-5 will feature Emergency Lane Keeping, Blind Spot Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Mazda Radar Cruise Control with speed limit assist, as standard equipment.26
The 2026 CX-5 also includes a new available Cruising and Traffic Support with Lane Change Assist feature, as well as an enhanced available 360° View Monitor. Just a few of many enhancements and additions.27
Remote Engine Start is a feature of Mazda Connected Services (MCS). Once a CX-5 has been registered with MCS via the MyMazda app, owners will have access to a variety of information and remote services, including Remote Engine Start. A one-year trial subscription to Mazda Connected Services is included with the purchase of every new 2026 Mazda CX-5.28
